Ok, girls the saying came about because instead of just swating the flys, they would trap them in these cool bottle traps, the bait was honey because it worked and you could trap the flies and then dispose of them, vinager didn't work it just made the house stink!
The saying is used when someone is "bugging" you instead of being nasty back you use sweetness to get rid of them or their attitude.
That is your moral defination. stay tuned for the defination of "OH for crying out loud in the middle of the night!" LOL ;)
Sounds like the saying should then be "You can get rid of more flies with honey than with vinegar". ;)
